New kit

As part of the project "Rugby for Children of the Belgorod Region" with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund, we acquired new kits for children, students and women teams. In August we held a photo session and recieved pics in September. Looks great, doesn't it?

Kursk region 7s Cup

Kursk region 7s Cup was held on 12 September. The participants were teams from Kursk, Belgorod, Bryansk and Zheleznogorsk.
Our coaches decided to put 2 squads for the tournament. The "blues" squad consisted mainly of players with little experience and guys from student teams. The "blues" played 3 games and won 2 of them, lost only to CSKA from Kursk.
The "grays" team played 2 matches. Both against the CSKA team. After two intense and emotional encounters, the game score remained 1-1.

Section at Belgorod State Agricultural University named after V. Gorin

In September a rugby section was opened at the BelSAU named after V. Gorin. BRFU coaches and players held a session of master classes to involve students in the section. Training has been going on for 2 weeks.

Tag rugby in Stary Oskol

On September 30, the coaches of the BRFU, within the framework of the Metalloinvest grant project "Let's do it together!" held a series of master classes for kids of secondary schools in Stary Oskol. Classes were held in schools №16, 17, 30 and 34. In total, these master classes were attended by more than 200 children of primary and secondary classes.

Belaya Krepost are potential bone marrow donors

The rugby players of the women's and men's teams Belaya Krepost have become potential bone marrow donors.
We became participants in the project organized by the "Holy Belogorie against childhood cancer". As it turned out, it doesn't hurt or scary at all. The rugby players passed the first stage - they donated blood and got into the database of potential donors.

Master classes at BSTU named after V.G. Shukhova

The coaching staff of BRFU and the players of Belaya Krepost held a series of master classes on physical education classes at the BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov.
Students tried to comprehend the basics of rugby: they passed a ball and worked with a rugby shield. Even the most basic things aroused interest,and many guys and girls have already come to train at the BSTU rugby section!

National Rugby League 7s Championship (Central Federal District)

On September 19-20 in Lipetsk the National Rugby League 7s Championship of the Central Federal District took place.
The first and essentially decisive match was against our neighbors - the CSKA-Kursk. The winner of the pair with a huge probability went to play-offs and the loser was destined to play for 5th place.
Despite the excellent first half Belaya Krepost lost at the last minutes with a final score of 7:10.
In the second match of the group stage our team lost to the future winner of the tournament - Moscow Dynamo 0:31.
In matches for the 5th place Belaya Krepost played against the team of the RGVVDKU - the Ryazan Airborne Academy. In the first game our rugby players won with a score of 45: 0. In the second 42:12.
