Belgorod rugby football union digest. June-July
Like the rest of the sports world, we were waiting for permission to start training. We are slowly returning to normal life. The first summer month were pretty quite, so we decided to combine June and July in our traditional digest.
Best regional rugby union

Belgorod Rugby Football Union took 1st place in the ranking of regional rugby unions for the 1st half of 2020. BRFU was classified as 1st standard union (developing, second in rankings) and became the best among 32 organizations. The key factors were the number of people involved, sports events held in the region, the results of sports teams and others.
We are going to keep our leading positions in the final ranking, which will be presented at Rugby Week in Moscow in November 2020.

The final My Game

On June 7, the fourth and final My game was held.
Its participants were the sports director of the Russian Rugby Union - Sergei Markov, the player of the Russian national team and the Krasny Yar rugby club - Yuri Kushnarev, the winner of our rugby quiz and the player of the Rotor rugby club from Volgograd - Yuri Lobanov and the player of Belaya Krepost Evgeny Sakunov.
Thanks to the support of the Russian Rugby Union, we had a stream in the official RRU community and the it has over 2,000 views.
The winner of the game received a prize from our partner Rhino.
Back in business

In June men's and women's teams get back to trainings.
Trainings are held 4 times a week: 2 running sessions to restore and improve speed and stamina and 2 games where athletes work out technical and game elements.
The check of the intermediate results was a match in the format of 4 times of 15 minutes between the players of the men's Belaya Krepost team.
New match kits

In June, we received 6 new kits for kids and students teams. Thanks to N1 Sport for excellent quality and striking design.
The purchase became available with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund.
Test-matches in Kursk

On July 18, Belaya Krepost played a series of friendly rugby 7s test matches against the Kursk region team.
The games gave the coaches an opportunity to estimate team conditions, new players and students - to get new experience in a real game.
The trip became one of the stages of preparation for the 7s Championship, which will take place on September 19-20 in Lipetsk.
